Good to know. I’ll start to give them another serious look
Transfered from Feddit.ch as they closed up shop unfortunately.

Like others have noted, the firmware updating doesn’t work on Linux. This is why I like Gulikit King Kong Pro controllers. Their settings are adjusted on a firmware bases by pressing different buttons together on the controller. OS agnostic. Also their firmware updates only require dragging and dropping a file into the controller when connected over USB. It works totally fine on Linux.
Wow, I thought the project died. I’m glad it’s still hear. The feature set looks to be the best of these style devices
I too thought maybe the instance shut down. I’m glad it didn’t. No worries, I hope your vacation went well. I’ll survive a few days without social media
That would be great but that’s just not the way it is unfortunately
Because as you said it is available in some capacity already. Plus people complain about the slow speed of the 4 so maybe people will want to develop quicker for the 6. I could be totally wrong but I’m hopeful
We know GrapheneOS only makes their OS on Pixel phones or whatever their own device will be so it’s moot
Pixel phones have an extra security chip in them called the Titan. Other manufacturers lack this.
Get a used moderately old petrol car and do an EV motor swap into it.
I bet PostmarketOS will release for it
I wouldn’t call it unprecedented, just more obvious
If the point of it is indeed a learning project then it makes sense to me.
A side note: The free market and competition making products better are both good arguments too but my counter to that would just be that PCSX2 is just so good and mature.
Why do we need this? PCSX2 works great and is very mature
Pixel phones have a Titan security chip that makes them more secure than other manufacturer’s. Hopefully the Graphene team can release their own secure phone soon but otherwise we shouldn’t stray away from a certain company out of spite if what we really care about is privacy and security.
I haven’t heard of this before. The name was curious “Pixel” so I compared it to the Google Pixel tablet and it’s basically identical except for the WiFi chip. You could get a Google Pixel tablet for way cheaper and install Graphene. The Murena tablet seems like a ripoff and it has an account too (not sure if it’s optional)
Okay. I can give it another shot then. Thanks for the tip
That’s certainly one way of doing it. I’m not too big of a fan of addon launchers. They don’t seem to work as fluid for me. I tried Lawnchair and was able to exit it through the app switcher. I would expect it to not even show as an app to be closed out of since it’s trying to integrate seemlessly.
You might have been looking at the U4T which is a not silent switch
Neat animation. I notice you have lots of forest around so you won’t be able to see Polaris until it’s high up and mixed with other stars. How do you polar align? I’m new to this and at my house by the time I see Polaris I can’t differentiate it from the other stars to be able to polar align.
