  • This isn’t someone stealing food from the grocery store to feed their kids… But it is a topic being overblown for rich people’s benefit.

How is it overblown? It is a real issue with law enforcement in America. People are being permitted to destroy and steal property. We need to get to the root cause of what’s going on their. It’s due to failures on multiple fronts. You can’t just say ignore it because capitalism bad. Capitalism is a founding principle of this country’s economy. You can’t play the card that these people are protesting corruption because others are enriching themselves by stealing goods. That’s not noble in any way and doesn’t help employees.

Marinara is the most basic of Italian sauces. It is the red sauce on pizza and the default for most pastas at standard Italian restaurants in the US. I’d be surprised if you couldn’t find it in Italy since it isn’t like how Americans take a food like tacos and completely alter the original recipe. Sure, they make all varieties of jarred marinara in the grocery store where some are much better quality than others, but the basis is pretty much tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, basil and something to add sweetness like letting a carrot stew in it, adding sugar, or a squeeze of ketchup per my shortcut. Most recipes call for whole canned San Marzano tomatoes that are crushed while you simmer the sauce. This allows for a nice chunky consistency. The olive oil is always supposed to be the best you can find, so extra virgin olive oil works since you aren’t really cooking it at sauté-level heat.

Just standard Heinz works fine. Only a squirt or two seems to round off the flavors, giving just a hint of sweetness. Heinz ketchup is intentionally well balanced through countless trials with consumers. The exact proportions are super proprietary. People shouldn’t use any other brand because no one has invested nearly as much in getting the formulation correct. I don’t understand what you mean by not knowing what Marinara sauce is.

Ketchup and MSG are the secret ingredients in my marinara sauce. I go as far as to use proper other ingredients likes San Marzano tomatoes, fresh basil, and garlic, but I am fairly certain that my special additions to the recipe improve it. I’ve been told never to utter this to an Italian mother.

  • Perhaps they chose to have children ahead of being able to afford them and haven’t attempted to find a better job. People tend to create their own traps. Sure, the game is hard right now, but there are plenty of winners. I had a really bad job once and learned a lot from it about being a better boss than he was. Before that, I was an on-the-road consultant. Made great money doing that, but couldn’t establish a social life. Was all about finding the right fit. Starting out at my corporate gig wasn’t sunshine and rainbows. I had cubicles outside the HR office and hear people get yelled at my the hostile person in charge. What I learned though was how to win people over and find a mentor. The mean HR lady became my ally and watched out for me. She was nice, but had a hard exterior. Still perfecting my social skills. I’m a beast at what I do, but I wouldn’t get very far if I wasn’t nice to people. Finding out all the time that people like to talk about themselves and feel useful. I read a lot of books on everything and regret whenever I consider having a defeatist attitude. Just finished a Ulysses S. Grant biography. That dude packed, so much into a short period of time and had a lot of my eccentricities. He’s a testament to how you can learn to be the best at something by applying yourself fully and valuing relationships.
