Jokes aside, it’s really crazy how ZA/UM created something so truly 1 of 1. I feel so bad for everyone involved it all seems like a giant mess of IP law and interpersonal drama and all of that multiplied cause real money is on the table. All the while Amazon of all place is making a TV show or whatever of the game. Seems really bad, and one of those things that once it’s over everyone will feel like they lost.

I’m so upset that 1/2 of RTJ is a land lord. I genuinely dig their music and general outline of their message but it sucks so much Killer Mike tries to toe the line be radical and liberal. It really bums me out he’s the exact type of black liberal I am most hate, one with deep knowledge of real black struggle and radical tradition. Like he understands why shit is fucked but then uses that understanding to just keep in line with liberalism.

Also EL-P and Mac Miller (RIP) are the only good white rappers. They aren’t even “white rappers” (which I fear we will see a whole evolution of the white rapper in the come decades) they are rappers who are white.

RTJ3 still my favorite tho.

This game rules! I love it and I want everyone to try it. It’s one of the most “This game is it’s own game” game since like Disco Elysium to me. It obviously takes influence from other previous games but it’s just everything i love about indie games. It’s just a game that’s totally it’s own thing.

Yeah. Like one thing I like about the Gravel Institute (before they stopped posting) and things like Means TV are those little quickies that grab “normies” attention and breakdown why capitalism bad or why socialism good. Having videos or posts or whatever media you give people to just their foot on the path away from liberalism and capitalism and at least look at different (ideally look away from it) I think would be good. I’m not sure what that would look like exactly I’m not a organizer type but I think anything we can just get people to at least begin to question the system would be a big help for us and for them too (them being the person we want to reject this nightmare machine).

Whatever we can do to get people just a step closer to being based rather than cringe ideologically speaking. Move them a based we are so back rather than a cringe it’s joeover

Personnally I’d love to see a QuickDraw utility belt selection of memes or videos I could use to counter popular right wing ideas that don’t require a PH.D in history, sociology, or economics. Kinda like the gravel Institute. I would to see more “elementary”/“intro level” socialist and commie stuff. The more we can break down leftie stuff into super small building blocks the better. To get more regular people in the door at the very least.

“Civility” fetishism grinds my gears. The DNC can’t say this dude is an existential threat to “Democratic values” or whatever and then do a photo shoot with them. It’s other all performative nonsense, or you and your party are really in line with the conservatives’ ideology and agenda. The DNC and their acolytes just are a cowards who thinks the Republicans’ methods are “icky” but don’t fundamentally disagree.

I really dig ReLeft. I think the team there really gives a shit about regular people and aren’t internet poisoned like many other leftist podcasts/shows. I really like how RevLeft doesn’t cosplay as working class, they are just working class. RevLeft and Trillbillies are two that come to mind that understand that working class is real but doesn’t treat working folks as morons. They get that you can be a regular person and still care about leftist stuff and not be a weirdo about it. They get it.

I genuinely think the aesthetics 2005-2015 were some of the “safest” ever. It’s really crazy in such a booming era of the new “endless blockbuster season” that things looked so very plain on screen. Visually things were just so “safe” visually on screen.

Exactly. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the dude is bummed out pretty major. We are all not feeling super jazzed about the future, but that’s not excuse to just say “This thing that has defined my artistic expression/professional experience is now bad”. It’s kinda of a cop out to me. Again, I feel for him, I feel for anyone who does artsy stuff right now, but yeah it’s a bit lame to just say “No more cause America voted bad”.
