Missed opportunity to have the dancers have alternating skin colour and add some interesting patterns to the dance.
Tell me more about those retirement benefits.
The Power Puff Girls
Not hard, just fiddly for the fluffy bits. But it is explained with a video by the creator of the pattern. All the other stitches are classic single crochet and slip stitch.
That being said I wasn’t too happy with how the pattern was written overall. Nothing insurmountable, just not what I am used to. Instead of “(2 SC, INC)x6” it would be “sc in next 2, 2 sc in sc, repeat the whole round” for example. I’m just not used to that writing style and I had to really concentrate to avoid making mistakes.
Thanks! This is great.
I am all for this, eating insects is done in many cultures and a healthy source of nutrition. We westerners may see it as something intimidating at first, because we so squirmish about bugs, but I am honestly curious about the taste.
That being said, I don’t know why we need more nutritious flour. We are not lacking protein in our diets. Even vegans and vegetarians easily hit the minimum protein intake by consuming plant based protein…
It is almost guaranteed to be injury free. 😄
It’s supposed to be a fish, the pattern is a bit wonky. Don’t recommend that one. 😅
I did, it’s the white border around the work. I’ll try to block it and see how far it will correct the shape. Thanks!
Thanks! I’ll check this out.
“No” is a very powerfull word.
If you are a minor and didn’t have a choice, I sincerely sympathize with your fate.
Yes! You are posting in one…
Subreddits are called “Communities” on Lemmy. You can “Join” a community (as long as your instance is federated with the instance hosting that community), and it will be like “subscribing” to the community.
On the right hand side of your “homepage” you will see the communities you are subscribed to under “Subscribed to communities”.
On said homepage you can also choose to filter content on “Subscribed” / “Local” / “All” which translates to “only the communities I joined” / “only the communities hosted on this instance” / “everyyyything”.
Hope this helps… Others have likely explained it better than myself.
You may not like my answer but here goes: Time will tell.
Those who have jumped ship indefinitely will build a community here in the Fediverse. Those who miss Reddit too much will return there and use the official app.
By staying you are building something new. It may not be Reddit, and it may never be Reddit. But there are still millions of users who are here to stay and will become a community.
I hope it will not become a “they” vs “us” thing. Both platforms can exist peacefully, the same way Facebook and Twitter coexist.
Perhaps a difference in content style or format will appear in time, which will make people choose one platform over the other. But that’s not bad. Competition is healthy.
I’m staying, and I’m curious to see where Lemmy is going. All I can do is contribute to making it a place I want to hang out in.
No you don’t. We use dice, bottle caps, even snacks if we don’t have minis available.
Playing with minis is more expensive but it’s a hobby to most people to design a character, (have it) print and paint.
Friend of mine didn’t know about the blackout. They almost fell out of their chair when I told them. Sweet summer child…
I FINALLY tried out the Hansa Teutonica game I got for my birthday two years ago. I’ve been wanting to try it out, but couldn’t bring myself to read the rule manual. It’s nothing against the wording or so, I was just procrastinating (I’m good at that).
1h youtube video later, I felt I understood the basics, and packed the game for our boardgame day last Saturday.
I LOVED IT. I don’t have any other Euro-games, this is by design, but I really wanted to try one. This one came highly recommended, and I can understand why. There are so many things to do, strategies to try… I definitely will play it again.
We also played Codenames and Set a Watch, but that was less of a revelation and more of a return of some favorites on the table.
Me too, but I’m don’t feel confident starting the community… I was always a lurker and can’t imagine moderating a community WAY more qualified than myself to share advice on DM’ing.
I haven’t found any mexican restaurants in Belgium. Just none. There is a taqueria where I live but it does not scream authentic at all.
As a kid I lived in Thailand and there was an excellent restaurant there with super yummy food - think not sure it was authentic.
Making Mexican food yourself is also tricky as the ingredients (dried chillis) are not easy to find.
