Heres the thing: the DPRK gets a lot of experience from having troops take part in both active combat and observer/support roles. I cant think of a better battlefield than Ukraine to learn how to fight a modern war against an enemy that actually has teeth. It offers a lot to the DPRKs military besides even closer ties to Russia, which are very valuable.
Exactly it cannot be understated how valuable troops with actual combat experience are (not just on the battlefield) but as future teachers and instructors. The soldiers who fought in Ukraine will bring the DPRK the most cutting-edge battlefield experience available anywhere on the planet.
