Dr Browning says your bedroom should be a “sanctuary” for sleep, and “a wonderful, pleasant place where we feel happy”.

I take serious exception to this concept. Most people can’t afford to have a room set aside as some sort of sleep fantasy world. There is a global housing crisis going on. Rooms are multi purpose. People live in bedrooms, sleep in living rooms.

I don’t see the problem with saying that a bedroom should be a sanctuary for sleep which makes it’s occupant feel wonderful and happy.

Just like I think everyone should be able to eat enough food to feel happy and satisfied, even if there is a global food distribution crisis going on.
