Downvote because this is a bullshit marketing move.

Iveco paid Metallica to promote their hydrogen, electric and LNG (fossil-fuel) trucks. They don’t do it out of conviction, but just for the money.

I downvote just out of the fact it’s Iveco. I’ve driven plenty Ivecos before for work - they’re easily one of the worst driving experiences I’ve ever had.

But yes, Metallica doing something for money and not out of conviction is as inevitable as death and taxes.

Out of all truck brands, which is your favourite? I’m not that big into semi trucks but I’ve heard Scanias and DAFs are very well loved

Well, you could say doing it for the money is doing it out of conviction (for money) to them.

I actually am still a bit petty too about that.

Also, they haven’t made good music in ages

But really, lots of people are using EVs now. Not sure if this is really news as I wouldn’t be surprised if other bands have started or will shortly

This isn’t the first time Metallica has shown an interest in the environment. Among other initiatives, the band played in Antarctica last year, using generators powered by a sustainable jet fuel blend.

Ah yes, that’s what comes to mind when I think about environmental protection - flying a few hundred tons of equipment to Antarctica for a 2h show powered by jet fuel.
