Cut off the genocidal Israel and put forth a candidate that wonā€™t be the oldest in history. Itā€™s crazy these things even have to be asked for

Its too late to ask for it now. We had 3 years to tell him he was a one term president.

This all feels like sowing division and apathy to try to get a more favorable matchup for Trump

Its too late to ask for it now. We had 3 years to tell him he was a one term president.

He was asked by many before he even took office to commit to not running for re-election. Some supporters even tried to assuage apprehension about his age by claiming incorrectly that he had already committed to it. Itā€™s never time to challenge the establishment, according to the establishment and its supporters.

This all feels like sowing division and apathy to try to get a more favorable matchup for Trump

And there we have the old false dichotomy; pretending that nobody criticizes Biden except to help Trump.

The ā€œfavorable matchupā€ one looks new, though. As if there somehow IS anyone worse whoā€™d be willing and allowed to run were he to step aside and retire!

This is the best summary I could come up with:

In a statement shared first with NBC News after its executive board voted on the endorsement Wednesday night, the Washington union called Biden ā€œan ally to workers over the last four years,ā€ but suggested it is not confident in his ability to defeat likely GOP nominee Donald Trump in November.

ā€œCurrently, many voters, and UFCW 3000 executive board, feel that the best path to have the best nominee, and to defeat Trump, is to vote ā€˜uncommitted,ā€™ā€Ā the union said in the statement.

But the move by a liberal stateā€™s largest labor union shows some parts of the Democratic base are still not fully on board with the presidentā€™s re-election yet.

This week in Michigan, home to a large Muslim and Arab community concerned about the war in Gaza, about 13% of Democratic primary voters chose ā€œuncommittedā€ over Biden.

The Washington union praised those who voted ā€œuncommittedā€ in Michigan and said ā€œBiden must push for a lasting ceasefire and ending US funding toward this reckless war.ā€

Meanwhile, The Stranger, a prominent alt-weekly publication based in Seattle, also endorsed the idea of voting ā€œuncommitted,ā€ expressing disappointment in the options ofĀ  Trump and Biden, whom it referred to as the ā€œtwo genocidal geriatrics leading the polls.ā€
