        Hello, game designer here. We don’t worry a lot about pc gender as it is mechanically agnostic, and as a feature it has a minimal effort involved with such a design decision. We do however consider who we offend at every stage of the development, and who we appeal to at every turn. The insane plethora of game enjoyers being incredibly different in tastes, styles and ability takes up most of the work of being a designer

          Honestly, it’s always better to just have customizable characters as a default if it’s possible specifically for this reason.

      Inclusitvity is being able to play as either gender. Being able to switch mid-game is just a niche convenience thing. Personally I haven’t ever felt the need to switch during a playthrough, if the game is good, I wouldn’t mind starting a new one, but obviously there’s nothing wrong with having the option.
