Found this all over my local trail in Hawaii. Looks like turkey tail but not white on the edges and not a lot of color separation. Also, Ive never id’ a mushroom.

They were not on stems. The ones on the side of the trunk were connected to the tree like a shelf. the ones on top had a wide portion connected to the tree. I have a photo of the underside but I forgot which color it was that I picked to look underneath. The mushrooms were pretty thin, not thick and fleshy.
This is mostly just a guess/semi informed attempt at an ID, but I think the dark red/white ones are Earliella scabrosa and the brown one may be in the Genus Microporos or possibly Lentinus brumalis (pictures range from rather similar to quite different, so I’m nowhere near 100% sure)
I think the photo of the gills would likely be the Earliella
Thanks for the help! I checked put the links. I didn’t know about that site. I signed up and will attempt an id next time using mushroom observer!
Hey, please post here, too, even if you think you already ID’d it. I am sooo happy to have people posting mushie pix in the wild on the fediverse. :)
