Something like that kids help phone thing but for adults. I’m specifically looking for a website I saw posted somewhere weeks ago, I don’t remember the name, it was a free website where you could speak to someone - I don’t believe it was necessarily professionals. Apologies if the info I have is inadequate and thanks in advance.
For folks in the UK if you’re in crisis contact the Samaritans https://www.samaritans.org/ call 116 123. It’s free and 24/7 and fully confidential. They’re helped me out in the past, don’t hesitate to call.
The suicide prevention line isn’t only for suicides, they also help people with crises and just managing with life in general. 1 800 273 8255.
And I just looked this one up but it sounds cool, if you’re having any kind of crisis, there’s a crisis text line and you can text “HOME” to 741741 to text with a crisis counselor.
Actually, here are all the free crisis numbers, looks like some are tailored and some more general:
Which one of these are international? I speak English but live in Vietnam for example, yet I’d love to be able to have access to something like this.
I’m not in the area or an expert but this link seems to contain a lot of useful leads.
https://www.wellnessvietnam.com/guide-to-mental-health-services-in-vietnam/
There’s a Facebook group with links to people in Hanoi.

There are also resources for other cities.
Isn’t there something similar in Vietnamese?
I would suggest using a voip app like textnow where you can get a free phone number and call phone numbers for free.

Thanks…“sheeple”. Not helpful.
Edit: For future context: it is super weird that username using characters resembling “sheeple” said crisis hotlines don’t work and they would just make fun of the people who called them up, and then after I called him out, deleted his embarrassing and hurtful comment and posted a new comment saying “thank you”.
Seems like a sociopathic dick move.

Ask for help here if you need to. Don’t stress about finding the right place. Find a comfortable place.
Edit: sorry. I didn’t see the word “professional” in your post at first. Others have given you better advice. Crisis doesn’t always mean self-harm. There are places to talk about bills, marriage, depression, loneliness, etc.
How can we help?

The new 988 number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline went into effect on July 16, 2022. In July 2020, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) designated 988 as the new three-digit number for the Lifeline. The number has trained staff to answer calls from individuals at risk for suicide as well as those experiencing other mental health and substance use-related emergencies. Specialized services are available for veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other groups.
There’s a website called 7 cups of tea which is what I think you might be thinking of https://www.7cups.com/community/
Thank you, this may not be the exact one I saw but its pretty damn close, really appreciate it .
Keep in mind, many of these people are untrained and unverified and may have no clue what they’re doing and make your situation worse.
Source: myself, when it first came out years ago.
