That’s been me for long enough that I don’t react much anymore. Only took about 40 years of regular exposure. Worth it!

Yeah, I had cat’s growing up, and I just thought it was normal not to be able to breathe through your nose for long periods of time. By the time I moved out I wasn’t allergic anymore.

Bullshit. I’m allergic to cats and it gives you a natural dislike for them. Also I’m convinced that cats are creatures from another dimension or planet, they’re toxic, demon creatures

I’m allergic and still like cats. I don’t have a cat for obvious reasons, but a natural dislike? Nah, that’s just projection.

I like the hairless ones. Still wouldn’t get one cause of the smell though. I’m a bird guy, they can be messy but never smell.

Sister’s allergic to cats and she raised one for years until she gave it away after having her baby. On the other hand friend’s sister has no reaction to cats, even their parents have a history of raising different animals but she’s scared shitless by cats. It’s pretty easy to give her jump scares.

      Humans are weird man.

My mom was allergic to cats, but the she wanted one and had no reaction. She also had no aversion to them before.

That’s exactly why our neighbor went to sphinx. It didn’t stop them from interacting other cats though.

Honestly it’s more socially acceptable to die petting the cat than it is to want the cat to stay away from you. People get mad “don’t be mean to the puppies or kitties”.

We had a neighborhood cat who would show up at the back door meowing for treats and scritches. I am strongly allergic and would run inside after petting her to wash my hands thoroughly and take two Benadryl.

I would still break out in hives all over my arms every single time. But I couldn’t just not pet her! This meme is perfect.

Rest in peace, Bella. You were a very good kitty.
