Basically it’s a kid centric entertainment venue filled with slides, climbing frames, trampolines (in this case), ball pits and soft… climbable things. The kids love it. I (as a 35 year old with a lower back issue) tolerate it.

Kids had fun. That’s all I can ask I guess?

Soft plays didn’t exist when I had kids. It sounds like fun to me! Why can’t you go earlier, do you have to buy tickets for time slots?

Yeah it’s got a ticketing system and my brother is busy in the morning. I usually prefer to go early and then relax in the afternoon.

Quite good. Ran 15km for the first time in a while, then went for a walk with people for an hour or something. It’s nice summer weather, 25 degrees Celsius, mostly sunny, with a nice bit of cool wind.

Hmmm I don’t really fully know what the runner’s high entails. Generally it’s a bit harder to keep going at the start, but at some point it’s easier to keep running than to stop. That point has been anywhere from after a few steps to after 7km. Usually it’s after about 1-3km that this occurs. This time around I woke up feeling quite unrested and shitty, so getting started wasn’t easy. But after the first kilometer it started getting better and better, and I guess that after 2-3 km it felt really good right to the end.

I’m having a quiet recovery day instead of a day at a barbecue with family. I hate that this latest bug is soooo difficult to get rid of.

Spending my day mostly twiddling my thumbs. Been (for the most part) unemployed for the last 3 years, getting by on small projects here or there. I went to a couple networking events this last week and got in contact with a few people that said they’re hiring. But, of course, I have to wait until Monday to actually get the ball rolling on that. Very frustrating but I just have to cross my fingers that this week I’ll get follow-through.

Haven’t been able to get out & socialize much post-pandemic due to financial constraints (esp. since I want to get married, and need to resume dating to make that happen). Would really be nice to get out & stretch my wings soon.

So I’m just twiddling my thumbs. Might write some more fiction. Might catch up on the few client projects I have, but one of the clients has gone quiet lately.

Working a second overtime 24 hour shift for my second 48 on 24 off in a row. I’m fairly tired and going to take a nap. I don’t get home until 6pm tomorrow since I go right to class from work, then have to turn around immediately to go back to work at 4 am.

I did a ton of drawing today so I guess I should be happy with that? A lot of it just restoring my old drawings and basically transferring them to digital to update how they look. It’s going well so far but I want to draw new things more often.

I also got delivery yesterday and today. I have been trying so hard to cut down on that but when it gets to be after 11 pm all the near by stores are closed and I end up just ordering anyway.

Finally adjusted to my timezone after being on a business trip for five weeks. I never get jetlag when going to places but it always seems to hit me when I come home.

Got back from my one week vacation. Didn’t have any money so I just went to my grandma’s house in a nice village, took some forest walks.

Now I’m back in my apartment that I had to treat for fleas last week. My dad helped, we sprayed literally every inch of this place.

Still kind of anxious about it because my cat is with me again (she was with my parents while we treated the place since the chemicals are toxic).

Right now I am waiting for the dryer to finish drying my sheets so that I have something to sleep on tonight.
