Do we have fans here of the mother franchise? Seems they will do something special to celebrate mother 2 (source). What would you like to see according to mother 2?

I would be shocked with even that. Though I was pleasantly surprised at Metroid Prime Remastered, its faults not withstanding.
Do you mean the Earthbound franchise? If so, I am familiar with the franchise through the character Ness in Super Smash Bros, and there are a few VGM artists on YouTube that have done covers of the game’s music.
