I really dislike commercial flying, and would like another option.

I’ve been investigating jet point clubs and it seems like it comes out to around $8-10k an hour (depending on distance, place size, etc.). I’ve also been looking into buying and flying my own (non-jet) plane.

Jet points would mean a nicer flight with no work on my end, but private flying would mean more options / freedom / etc.

In terms of cost, I was thinking around $300k for a reasonable starter plane that I could use for a few years.

Has anyone done a similar sort of analysis? I’d be curious to hear about your experiences.
