When they tell an interviewer that what they need to do in order to beat the other team is no more specific than “play hockey, but better than them”.
I always joke that when reporters ask players about non hockey things like their wedding or what they do on their days off, they just say, “we gotta get pucks in deep, play a full 60 minutes, and outwork our opponents.”
Gotta go hard in their zone, win the battles, and stay outta the box.
Yeah. Those in-game interviews are useless. Coaches, too. They always say essentially the same thing.
