Genocide happens not only in the giant open air concentration camp called Gaza, but also in the West Bank, where the Palestinians are supposedly living in peace with the Israelis. Imo the just feels weird because mass murder shouldn’t be a “just”. It should be somewhat near a penultimate, but compared to genocide…
Genocide = mass murder + the attempt to wipeout a characteristic people.
So “just” mass murder could be considered one step less worse than genocide.
