I am a cis male, married with kids. I am also a nurse, and work mostly alongside women everyday. Would my thoughts and perspective on the matter be appreciated? I have observations as well. “No” is a valid answer, if this is a place for venting and I’ll show myself out. This just popped up in my ALL feed. I’m not creeping.

Hey stoic! Thanks so much for your respectful comment. We are trans inclusive women only, so please don’t comment again. You’d be very welcome at !witchesvspatriarchy@lemmy.ca though ❤️

I have an imaginary boyfriend I refer to when I reject men, I’ve got the key points about him memorised. Bad men respect another man’s claim to me more than they respect my no

Oh man. I straight up told a guy I was engaged, but he said that didn’t matter because I didn’t have a kid with my fiancé. Saying “No” and being committed to someone didn’t matter. I was fair game until someone got me pregnant.

One man’s response to “I have a girlfriend” was “So do I”.

They’re just gross and disrespectful, the goalposts constantly moving.

See, engagement doesn’t matter. Tell them you want sex because your trichomoniasis is flaring up and you need something to scratch that itch.

            I’m using this.

I’ve already taught my neices the art of responding to dick pics with better dick pics.

and let’s be honest, the kids are a turn off for reasons less than about the man’s sense of honor 😅

Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you’re here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we’ve got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women’s community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.
