ESPN has moved on from Shannon Sharpe just two weeks after the NFL legend settled a lawsuit in which his ex-girlfriend accused him of rape.
The NFL Hall of Famer has not appeared on ESPN since the suit was first filed back in April.
ESPN’s decision to axe Sharpe was first reported by The Athletic.
The U.S. Sun confirmed he is not returning to the hit show, but ESPN did not comment on the move.
And Sharpe’s legal team has declined to comment.
Sharpe had denied the allegations at the time of the lawsuit, which was filed by a woman identified only as Jane Doe.
The lawsuit accused Sharpe of manipulation, beating, and sexual assault.
The suit claimed that the two had dated for about two years before the alleged sexual assault.
Jane Doe alleged the 57-year-old Sharpe raped her in late 2024 and again in early 2025 when she was just 20 years old.
Sharpe has maintained his innocence and asserted that the relationship was “100% consensual.”
