…and soon a 500% increase in dog populations at shelters
Was going say that. Like giving puppies or kittens as a present on Christmas.
I just rescued an Easter puppy that was left in his cage for the past 4 months. Family gave up on him. Their loss. He’s a good boy!
this is devastating. I mean, i’m so happy you gave him a good home! It just really sucks people are like “can’t be bothered to care for this thing, guess he lives in a 3x3x3 cage forever.”
We do have a crate for our guy, but he goes in when he needs to and out when he wants. he sleeps in bed with us. Sometimes he just needs to have a little crate time to calm his nerves and relax instead of ABD (Always Be Destroying). He goes in on his own, lays down, and naps.
Yeah, he was never socialized and came with massive long talons. Zero potty training. I guess he just slept in his mess.
He’s on a healthcare plan now, has most his shots, boosters in three weeks, and is learning his new name!
I’m thankful my two established pups have been so patient with him.
Or the shit that happened after Covid lockdowns were lifted.
Yes. I was thinking this as well.
