Earlier today I commented another’s post and thanked them for their understanding in my native language. The sentence was literally “Thank you for your understanding!” and nothing else. Half an hour later I received a warning that my post has been removed because the post was against their double standards. So I left Fascistbook. I haven’t deleted my account, I just won’t visit it anymore. If you’re still in that anti-social toilet, avoid thanking anyone for anything, otherwise you might find yourself in a read-only mode for a few days. I could post a screenshot of both my comment and the warning but both are in Bulgarian language and I doubt you’d understand anything from the screenshot.
Meanwhile my reports of content featuring actual violence, bigotry, and animal abuse inevitably result in “Thank you for your report. We have reviewed the content and determined it does not violate community standards. Here’s what you can do instead…”
I’ve seen the same response so many times when I report something that I simply gave up reporting anything. In previous years I’ve seen the videos of a genocidal pastor from USA who was openly calling for white Americans to kill gays and black people. When I reported the video, guess what answer I got… But when I uploaded a picture of my favorite actress (you can see her on my profile pic) from the neck and above, Suckerberg decided it was “nudity and sexual activity” and banned me for 3 days. After the 5th or 6th request to review the image, it was finally determined it was OK but… they didn’t lift the ban on my account. So I was banned for literally doing nothing wrong.
Literally 100% of the time for me
If you have used facebook in the past 5 years, you aren’t “anti-facebook.”
Do you know what to go do with yourself, or should I spell it for you?
Once a year I check in on my fake birthday that I set my profile to. It’s nice to get un-birthday wishes from your not real friends.
Funny. But my friends there are real. I have 12 or 13 friends and I know them all personally. I never accept friendship invitations from people I don’t know and that applies for all sites, not just FB. I’ll just drop by to leave a pinned post where they can find me and then completely remove FB from the browser.
I left several years ago and haven’t looked back. You’ll be a lot saner for it.
I guess I just wanted to see if it has gotten better. Looks like it’s gotten worse, not better.
