Balance Records, based in Australia, started its Series in 2001 with Sean Quinn. While the first four CD mixes had landscapes as covers, from the fifth, and after it changed with a photo of the artist.
Balance was doing the same thing as Global Underground, showcasing DJs at the time with a 2 CD mix. The DJ would select the songs and mix them together into 2 different CDs. Balance started as a progressive house series, but later on full electronic sounds came into the series.
Some notable CD to listen are: James Holden 005 Anthony Pappa 006 Paolo Mojo 009 S.O.S 013
Sometimes the DJs would warm up the listener with low BPM on CD 1, and on CD 2 would bring higher BPM. Some other times, the DJ would go dark and low. The DJ was always trying to find a way to amaze the listeners, using its skill and songs, whether it was a club or a CD.
