Ice agents arrested the New York City comptroller and Democratic mayoral candidate Brad Lander at a federal building in Manhattan. He had spent the morning there observing immigration hearings and told an Associated Press reporter he had intended to accompany some immigrants out of the building. Footage of the arrest shows an agent telling Lander: ‘You’re obstructing’. Lander replies: ‘You don’t have the authority to arrest US citizens asking for a judicial warrant’ as he was led into a lift

      I completely get what your going for.

      But…

      You know where this road ends? You have a big mouth now, and I get it, I get it so very much but this ends with thousands if not millions of dead Americans in a civil war.

      If you have any questions about how that would work out, maybe ask Yugoslavia where these roads end and if it was all worth it.

      I’m not saying you should lie on your back and let them walk over you, I’m saying you want to thread this violence needle extremely careful or you WILL get more blood than you bargained for.

      Because it’s what the right wants. Why do you think trump sent the National Guard and Marines for 90 days? That it’s not just for LA, but for the entire US? He wants violence. He wants to take over the donor state, sanctuary cities so he can declare Marshall Law.

      The parade was incredibly embarrassing for him while peaceful protests happened all over the US. The protests were full of republicans. He isn’t stable and everyone knows what happens to unstable dictators.

      The right is doing this like a circle jerk on their platforms. Why does the left always have to be above it? The right thinks they can act however they want because they are the only side that can play the violence card affectively. They boast about it all the time. I have no empathy for dead fascists.

      Edit: I’m not saying the above as mod, but as a user. Lemmy doesn’t let you undistinguish yourself. I also wouldn’t let the right talk about shooting the left, which I am saying as mod.
