After being told, “happy Father’s Day” by several family members, it meant the world to me reading my younger sibling’s text that just read, “hope you’re enjoying your day off with your family, sis.”

Called my partner’s dad to say Happy Father’s Day. Once we’re in the area, we’ll be going to our favorite steak dinner:)

Sadly I’ve gone no contact with mine for some years now. Too many differences, and then we had a bad fight that really pissed me off. He was incredibly rude to my long-time partner and I won’t stand for that shit.

I still hear about him occasionally from my siblings. It’s good to hear he’s healthy. There’s a possibility we could reconnect in the future, but I’m stubborn. And honestly the time apart has done wonders for my mental health🙂 Maybe someday
