Boelter appeared to have an interest in electoral outcomes, posting on LinkedIn six years ago, urging “everyone to vote in the election on Tuesday.”

And that counts as modern journalism. Fuck me if they get hold of my lemmy posts.

The suspect fired at the officers; gunfire was exchanged and the suspect was able to escape and flee on foot, authorities said.

That freaks me out. If I got out of this house after a firefight with the pigs, I’d have hundreds of acres to hide in that I know very well. I’d expect to be a corpse within the hour, 4 at the very best.

This guy better have an armed escort twice as big as Luigi when going to trial. If he lives that is. But he won’t.

    1. “Boelter helped lead the private security firm Praetorian Guard Security Services”. Frankly, anyone who names a “security” company after the Praetorian Guard should be preemptively arrested.

    2. Web site still up at time of writing.

Praetorian Guard - Meet the Leadership Team

Dr. Vance Boelter has been involved with security situations in Eastern Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East, including the West Bank, Southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. He brings a great security aspect forged by both many on the ground experiences combined with training by both private security firms and by people in the U.S. Military. He has worked for the largest U.S. oil refining company, the world’s largest food company based in Switzerland and the world’s largest convenience retailer based in Japan.

Yeah, so he’s saying he worked at a 7-11?

The security firm’s site says they “only offer armed security,” and that they use "the same make and model of vehicles that many police departments use in the U.S

And why would you want to advertise that?

Can confirm; have a Durango (which our highway patrol uses) and the number of folks that slam on their brakes when they see me on the highway is humorously large.
