I would say there is a silver lining to all this; it may give some drive to alternatives like peertube.

The more they tighten up their restrictions, the more people won’t use their services because it won’t act proper. I literally disregard all that google. I mean who am I kidding? I don’t even use Google. It has been deemed useless by my standards because I need real actual knowledge, not constant advertisements. I can’t even use the Google search engine because it is useless. Also, I search YouTube using other means and I follow creators. And whatever Google thinks of me is so off target that they literally can’t sell me anything that I want. I mean they’re literally fucking useless.

I already use YouTube a lot less since they made the change that you have to be logged in. Their suggestion algorithms suck, so I’m very careful about which videos I watched while logged in. I used to watch plenty of random videos while logged out so it wouldn’t affect the suggestions. I can’t do that anymore. Any YouTube link on any social media just isnt getting played anymore for me because I would have to log in.
