What’s a Wintermute?
An AI character from Neuromancer.
There were so many accounts with that name a couple of years ago when all the new instances started popping up. Then they just…disappeared.
@wintermute@feddit.de, the admin of that instance was travelling in Aisa and disappeared.
Yeah, I’m learning of that unsolved mystery today. That’s crazy.
But there’s a whole bunch of other ones that also disappeared. I’m willing to accept some were alts of Wintermute Prime, but surely it couldn’t be all of them.
Google wintermute, it seems to be from some piece of media, maybe its irrelevant now.
