Robert operated some of the earliest photography studios in the US.
Here he is in 1876, in non-selfie form 17 years before his death.

It’s like this photo of a guy who wears sunglasses and some sports jersey and to us he looks like a modern dude who traveled back to the 1940’s
Oh that’s wild. He really looks out of place there!
