I commented the following on this post problem is not Netanyahu, it is not Ben Gvir. it is the white supremacist mindset of Israeli public.

This is not new, extremists gain power, they are then making everything they can to stay in power while they slowly turn anyone they can to their side. They use the education system, political systems, laws and the media. Considering that Netanyahu has been in power since 2009 he has literally shaped the political and moral ideology of a significant part of the population. Imagine being 10 yo at 2009, by the time you van vote all you ever knew was Netanyahu. At the end of the day, an adult that is calling for genocide is responsible for their opinions and actions, but this is how a situation where a majority of a country if genocidal happens, with slow, steady and intentional manipulation of the public. Netanyahu and his terrorist goons ARE the problem, but at this point removing them from power is just a small part of the solution. As a kid I always wandered how people can truly think a genocide is a good idea, as an adult I am sad to see that it really is that easy, it really can start with just the wrong people gaining power. And just to be fair, this is very much true about Palestine as well. While the situation is completely different, they too have been under a genocidal and terroristic regime since 2006 and many (probably most) would answer similarly to such a questionnaire about Israelis and Jews. Of course Palestine have had the short end of the stick for all of those years while Israel got to become a developed country. It’s just sad to see how the people in power just fuck everyone around them, no one wins, no one is happy, all you get is death, hate and destruction, and of course the reason for all of this: Money, religion, power.

I don’t know how to check who the mod was but it seems that they are removing plenty of content, some of which seems to be content that just doesn’t support a black and white view of the situation where Palestinians are the only victims and Israelis are all evil (not excusing genocide here)

And the weird thing is that rule one has nothing to do with the comment:

What are you talking about? I am literally just saying that murdering innocent people is wrong. Are telling me that when Hamas shot a friendly dog that was resistance against occupation? That killing children is part of the solution? If you are then you are no better than the other side. No genocide is okay, no killing of innocent is okay. Is that really that hard to accept?

If we strip resistance groups from the right to armed struggle for some attrocities then you would oppose many liberation mouvement in previous colonized countries.

Nat turner killed innocent kids during his revolt. Mandela dnc party was reponisble of some civilian death. There is someone called nana sahib in occupied india who promised safety to both british civilians and soldiers but ended up massacting them

I don’t justify violence but it is important to not ignore history and human nature when they feel desperation and opression .

If you really want things like 7 of october to never happen you should call for end of occupation instead of both siding the oppressed and oppresor

I do call for the end of Occupation, but none of what you said justifies innocents being murdered.

          innocents being murdered.

Who are you talking about? You realize that approximately 20-40 minors (if even) were killed on october 7, while the zios have murdered tens of thousands children? Not to mention the men and women… YDI again with your pro-genocide false equivalences.

Do you think palestinians has right to armed resistance? Do some terrorist act by resistance group strip them to title of resistance? Do you think that israel leadership since it’s creation was extremist believe in the idea that thry are the true holder of the land and not palestinians?

Israel was formed on “gifted” land that was colonized by the british. It was wrong. Palestine has the right to fight. Yes, a terrorist that directly targets innocent people has absolutely no right except the right to due process.

I don’t igonre the horrible history, but it does not justify the horrible actions by Hamas (or Israel)

In an ideal world both leaders would be removed and replaced with ones that actually want a peaceful and practical solution. Fuck Hamas, Fuck Israel and I hope ths innocent people will be okay and this war and genocide will stop.

Mandela was in the terrorist list too and like i said his party was responsible in civilians death. With your logic the dnc would had no right to fight the apartheid. Hamas is in the terrorist list for political reason. Only 40 out of 197 countries list it as a terrorist group. That doesn’t mean that i don’t think they committed any act of terrorism. If we apply the terrorism designation the usa , Canada , the British and the idf and any other countries responsible of war crimes would have been designed as terrorists

You may think that you don’t ignore history but all what you say proof otherwise without realizing it. Israel been oppressing Palestinians since it’s creation , every single prime minister was anti Palestinians and Israelis kept voting for those people . I don’t mean that they deserve to die but Israelis is not the perfect population that west want us to believe

Yes in an ideal world both leaders would be removed and replaced with ones that actually want a peaceful solution but we are in a practical world. History show us that occupation lead to justified and unjustified retaliation. History show us that the colonizer need to be weaken enough to accept the occupied independence and freedom and this only happen with sanctions and armed resistance .

Instead of waiting for things that will never happen Palestinians will keep support who fight occupation even if those who fight may oppress internal opposition. Hamas support is strong even in Gaza despite desperation. Hamas is even more popular in the west bank because they don’t live an as big hell as Gazans do

This is my view Israel should end occupation, a one or two state solution should happen and people responsible for atrocities on both side should be held accountable . This is the pragmatic way of seeing the problem

I’ll be honest, this topic has burned me out a bit so it took some time to get back to your comment. I appreciate the directness of it.

I understand the problem with an ideal solution for a non-ideal world. I am now taking more time to make a more based opinion on this subject.

I hope more people take example from you as most comments here mostly drained me from any will to continue with this issue, but yours is less confrontational and more informative.

I won’t respond to your comment as right now I would rather learn more before diving back into this (understandably) explosive topic.

You must understand that it’s easy to get emotional about a genocide occurring with very little things we can do

I do, while it might not directly affect me, I care about these people. I hope it stops, and I often find mysefl sad and torn by this situation.

It’s just hard when most comments here are attacking instead of educating, and while it is not their burden to educate me, it also does not help their cause to attack others (excluding trolls, racists, etc)

I try to learn as much as I can before approaching more serious topics, but this is a really complex one where there is such a long and intricate history that even though I already spent a few hours on research, it still isn’t even half of it (not to mention the philosophical and moral part of it) I just didn’t expect to be blasted with so much hate.

Yeah? You wanna argue that Hamas didn’t murder children? Are that deep in denial? There are literal videos of it, just like the ones that we see from Gaza right now.
