My fucking putrid father said he was glad the new neighbors were “not from the city” when he only knew what they looked like (white). Dude, you’re not fooling me, I know you’re a fucking nazi dipshit. You’re not hiding it here and you’re not hiding it when you keep referring to animals that breed in the wild exclusively as “sl*ts”. Also thinks it’s normal to talk about asking ever delivery driver at work “where they’re from.” 
But I hear how he talks to other people not me and he’s definitely trying to hide it, but he’s too fucking stupid. Meanwhile if I tell fellow family members they just shake it off.
I think that the only deeply held belief for my family is that our country will never amount to anything if we stopped depending on the US so all the leftists are lunatics. Every other thing is not really important in political discourse in my country, so even though people become fascists all the time (particularly christofascists) you usually can talk them down from it pretty quickly as long as you stay away from the colonialism issue. They’ll straight up say being gay should be illegal one minute, and 2 baby’s first secularism sentences later they’ll be like “yeah I can see why it would make sense for HRT to be free.” It’s funny what happens when propaganda about most other things isn’t that strong.
Anyway, people don’t bother hiding it, either.
