China absolutely cares. Both sides lose.
The US trade accounts for 2% of China’s overall economy. Meanwhile, since the US is fighting a trade war with the whole world, it’s not gonna be hard for China to find other countries to increase trade with going forward.
There are several countries that are going to suffer greatly from those tariffs, but sure, China won’t mind.
I mean Canada’s probably gonna be in a world of pain having completely oriented our trade towards the US.
