I was reminded of the existance of the word “parboil” recently. It kinda surprised me how I just hadn’t thought of the word for ages.

    It’s a piece of lumber that is 6" by 8", and is excellent for building wooden structures that need to hold a lot of weight. I helped my dad build a tractor bridge from those once.
