I’m talking about ‘normal’ shitty colonialism making milquetoast excuses, an administration who are bad but in the same way every other administration in US living history, versus the current eager and loud administration who delight and revel in the hatred, and actively encourage the visible and very real acceleration of the genocide against the innocent Palestinian population.
Both are bad, I hate that those are the choices. But any sane person interested in the actual welfare of the living people who are being terrorised and systematically murdered by the hideous apartheid regime that is isreal, would understand that less harm is better than more harm.

The thing is, I do agree with the moral equivalence. Biden committed genocide. Trump is committing genocide. Biden set up Trump to do all the right wing cultural stuff by never actually wielding power and doing things like stacking the courts, codifying Roe v Wade, etc. Biden set Trump up for the push on immigration with his own rampant deportation program, failing to shut down Gitmo, non-action on legalizing drugs, and ramping up of police budgets under his admin.
There’s clear continuity of agenda between the admins. I don’t deny that there’s a difference, but if you think the difference is significant enough that your political calculus is anywhere in the realm of “we need a Democrat again but good” then you need to read Lenin’s Bourgeois and Proletarian Democracy.
Yes there is, dems are the part of the ratchet that stops things from swinging back further left. The two party system is entirely broken. But being complicit is very different from being eager. Right now, more Palestinians are dead then could have been. I’d prefer no dead palestinians, but given thats not on the table right now I will take less genocide. Anything that results in less dead innocents.
