I guess to be fair I was never really a stickler for any particular method; I’m just a lot more open to a lot of them.

It’s absolutely nowhere in the Constitution, but for whatever reason (money!) it’s persisted. The Greens had a little going in the early 2000s but made the mistake of going national before establishing a base in local and state legislatures. Instead the Greens were branded as “spoilers” for handing Dubya Bush the presidency, and failed to gain traction since.
