That was exactly my setup when I struck out on my own.

GameCube, wavebird, bongos, Twilight Princess. PS2, Guitar Hero, mod chip, case full of burned games. Single twin size mattress on the floor.

Those were the best days of my life.

I had two DVDs. Napoleon Dynamite and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

No internet, no telephone. I wanted to be creative and I didn’t want distractions. I wrote most of my songs in that little window.

Screw it. I never share my music. Here’s one of the songs I recorded.

I added some to YouTube. Will be adding more.

Y’all have no idea how much it means to me that people like this stuff.

I suddenly have all of this motivation to record all my newer stuff that I just sit around and play to relax.

Hell yeah these are great! I’m a particular fan of Stone to Throw, Untitled Noise 2, and Hallelujah Further Down. Special shout out to Flip-top PS3 that one’s the panty dropper. But for real I’ve enjoyed myself at shows that aren’t this good. I’m excited to have gotten to listen to your music

And for rest of your comment. Man, I wish I could tell you how you’ve made me feel with that. I really do.

Your comment and a few others here have brought me back to life, you know?

            Especially yours.

            Thank you!

            :p I love you haha.

I really thought I was leading the way for next gen mods when I put that together.

One other guy did it and he gave me a shoutout. :p

I really do appreciate your comment. You put this stuff together and think it won’t ever be heard, so it feels good when someone likes it.

Yeah I do. Not as much as I did then. I really appreciate the comment.

I did do all the parts, but I had originally recorded the drums on an old cheap Yamaha electric pad thing. I met someone online years ago who remastered the recording and redid the drums.

I’ve shared my music like 3 times in the last decade. I mostly just do it for me and for my people when I kick the bucket, in case they want it. I know my son does. He wants everything, even all of the hours and hours of recordings where I was trying to come up with something.

I’m really glad you like it. I’ll share a few more.

I think I’ll do that tonight. I haven’t posted my stuff seriously since 2010ish.

I made videos and everything but I lost them all.

Heck my mom saved two but they’re not in the quality I put them in. My ex called her and said I was deleting them so she rushed to save what she could and got those.

I was in a very bad place back then. Actually ended up being diagnosed with cannabis induced psychosis by the time it was all over.

Here are those two. I don’t care for the one where I did the ghostly images. The song could have been good but it was too long.

Thank you guys for taking interest in this stuff. I might let my brother put it all on Spotify haha. He’s been trying to get me to for a while.

Just coming to add a +1 on the YouTube links, I don’t download random files from mega, but I’ll listen to anything you have on YT, Spotify, or any FOSS counterparts.

Those YT links you’ve posted already sound great! This definitely would have been my exact vibe in 2010, but it’s definitely going into the car Playlist now.

Don’t be afraid of longer songs, if they’ve got focus and purpose, they’ll hold up. One of my favorite songs back in the day was 22 minutes and 20ish seconds long. Unfortunately it’s a religious Christian song (that all the old people assumed was satanic because they couldn’t be bothered to try listening to lyrics) so I don’t care for the words much anymore, but the guitar is still banger.

Get the royalties stuff figured out and put it on Spotify. I’d love to add these to my playlist there.

Seriously get this stuff up on Spotify, also you should re record this stuff with better audio equipment. The stuff they have now, even the cheap stuff from Amazon is really good.

Man, I appreciate you. My brother (who is a Christian rapper and doing a totally different thing from me and is a totally different kind of person) is going to put it on Spotify for me.

I’m an unemployed/unemployable nobody so getting new equipment is not possible for me. I’m a stay at home dad. I just work with what I have.

I have a decent setup how with a good 4 track cassette mixer that I can plug into a 15 year old computer and recording this stuff again is almost impossible. That and, I don’t connect with the kid who wrote this stuff and I just wouldn’t feel it right enough to do it again.

I’ve always loved lofi music so I’m just going to keep it where it is.

The stuff I’ve written in the last 5 years though, it will sound better. Not great, but better.

That one song, “No Good, In Spite of it All” is where I am nowadays. Like everyone else, I’m so freaked out with the political situation that I can’t think about myself when I make music anymore. All I can think about is what’s going on. I wrote this one song called eternally evicted, it’s complete shit but I really believe if I put it out in 2020 it might’ve gained some traction. I need to record that one. I never recorded it.

                    It said,

Hey poor folks, fuck all of y’all Don’t you know, I’ve been saving a while To buy a new vacation house And take my kids to see Mickey Mouse Yours are hungry? Hey, tough shit. You signed the fucking contract All I want is your paycheck, and if you lose it You’re gonna get evicted

You might think I’m a selfish man But I don’t really give a damn I’ve built everything that I have With my foot on the poor man’s back I drive around a luxury cars Well, you and yours pray you don’t starve I’d like to buy another and if you can’t help me You’re gonna get it evicted

You can sleep out in the cold Shit on the side of the road A contract is a contract and if you don’t like it You’re gonna get evicted

Well, hey landlord, what do you preach? What does that book you carry teach? Proverbs 14:31, Timothy 6:6-10 You’re in for a big surprise If god looks in your greedy eyes You won’t get past the gate and you’ll find you’ve been Eternally evicted

Man, it seems like I take myself too seriously with this comment. I promise I don’t. I’m nobody and I’m happy to be nobody. I love music, but I hate musicians haha. Part of why I never shared it I guess. The thought of being a musician who put himself out there made my stomach turn.

I really do appreciate that you guys are listening to my music though. It means the world to me. It really does. I can’t express how much it means to me.

I have always loved music so much, and to think that anyone enjoyed or connected with something I made in the way that I have with artists that I admire, I just can’t even believe it.

Even if it is just a few people and they’re not really taking it that seriously, it’s just a big deal to me. I’m also drunk, and terribly worried about coming off as, I don’t even know., a musician haha.

I just know that it means a lot to me. I’ve sat here doing this quietly for two decades and then some. I don’t ever even think about sharing it, and it’s not because I’m not confident or something like that. I mean, if that guy can do it, why not me? I just didn’t even realize I had a desire for someone to listen to it. Know what I mean?

Again, I’m drunk. It’s been a battle to avoid deleting all of this haha.

Thank you again. I mean it.
