Adam Lowry scored the winner at the 16:08 mark of the second overtime frame to complete a late rally as the Winnipeg Jets advanced to the second round of the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs with a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Blues in Game 7 on Sunday night.

Down two goals with under two minutes to play in regulation, Vladislav Namestnikov scored with the extra skater on the ice to make it a 3-2 game, before Cole Perfetti potted the equalizer with 1.6 seconds remaining to send the contest to overtime.

I watched this from the UK. Midnight start, figured I’d at least watch the first period and see how it goes. All ready to pack it in with 5 mins left in the third but figured I’d stuck it out this long so I may as well see it to the end.

Absolutely insane when they tied it, and then of course I was up until after 4am and got to bed just in time for the birds to start chirping outside. I’m paying the price now but it was so worth it.

Perfetti’s redirects were insane, especially that first goal on the powerplay. I’m so happy to see him excelling and thought he was a great 1st round pick.

I was ready to pack it in after the first, and I’m not convinced the Jets deserved that win after the abysmal away games, but damned if they didn’t get it together tonight…eventually.

Yup. I almost shut it down with 3 minutes left but said fuck it and stayed. Super glad I did 'cause nobody saw that end coming.

They pulled it out of the bag. Here’s hoping JMo is ok and Sheif can come back during round 2.

If the team was fully healthy I suspect this series wouldn’t have needed to go to 7 games.
