I think they are referring to the British settlements that led to modern America…?

The illegal immigrants in this case would be European settlers and the added text makes the meme, I think. I had to double take on this one as well.

yeah, but i just dont really understand the map. is it just a map showing where the native population lived before colonization or is there an actual joke in there?

Is this one of those “this is uncomfortably political to me and I don’t like that like that, therefore it isn’t a wholesome chungus 100 maymay” things? grillman

The meme is that the “Illegal Immigration” which is a hot political topic in this case actually refers to European Settlers who colonized North America. Many of the people against Immigration in the USA are they themselves immigrants or descended from within 7 Generations.

I can see how anything educational or requiring brainpower would be lost on the below median half of the population, though. I’m sure this comment caused you lots of thinking pain.

Try reversing the roles here and have me commenting “there is no meme here” on a meme about El Cid because I have no idea who El Cid is because “Sorry I’m not Spanish or Arabian.”

when i asked if i was missing something, you answered, and then said im stupid for not using my brain. when i answered that, sarcastically, with “sorry for not being from the us”, i was making fun of people from there who think everyone knows everything thats happening over there(like you).

if i made a meme about the portuguese stealing gold from brazil, i wouldnt say someone is stupid for not knowing what happened here.
