This funding is approved by Congress, so this will lose in court like everything else, but let’s see how this shakes out…

        Yeah, except defunding public broadcasting, and undermining media is step two in an authoritarian play book. Seems to be accelerating their attacks on democracy from here. Buck up.

      Yeah but legally Congress allocates funds. This isn’t binding (yeah yeah I know, none of these people care about the law)

        This isn’t legally binding, but that won’t stop the DOGE teenagers from walking into their office and start dismantling it.
        And the employees will stand by, muttering “this can’t be legal” under their breath.
        Then a judge will rule that it wasn’t legal, the ruling will be ignored, and by then 30 other things like this will have happened, too.
