    The actual answer is Embraer and Comac, which are statistically the safest planes, comparing flight hours and fatalities across all manufacturers.

    Interestingly, the Bombardier CRJ models (despite being the plane I hate to fly on the most) had probably the best safety/fatality record of anything flying in the West, with the only recorded fatalities of that airframe being an example of gross pilot negligence in an empty plane back in 2004, and now the one that got hit by a Blackhawk back in February.
