Return of the Living Dead (1985)
I wanna party.
Dawn of the Dead. Starts out normally and the action arrives about two minutes into the movie. Then it simply doesn’t stop anymore until the end. Top class.
Might not be popular but I prefer the 04 remake to the orignal.
28 days was my favorite for a long time.
i recently watched through all the romero films and think Day of the Dead from 85 is my favorite, the emotions and story are there most disturbing for me there.
but I’ve probably watched Shaun of the Dead the most number of times.
i didn’t know about return, by the way, but it’s on my watch list now so thanks.
Of the first three Romero flicks Dawn of the Dead is my favorite. After the original three, Land of the Dead wasn’t bad, but Diary and Survival are trash
You’ve never seen it? Hope you enjoy it. Its rather unique but a great horror comedy and the movie that brought in the idea that zombies eat brains. 100% recommend. It’s not only my favorite zombie movies but one of my favourite overall horrors.
Have you seen the 04 Dawn of the Dead remake? If not I’d highly recommend it as well based off the trilogy.
Thanks, looking forward to it.
i have seen the 04 Dawn remake, but only once and I’ve been thinking about rewatching it because I had so much fun watching all the original romeros.
Peter Jackson’s “Dead Alive” (originally titled “Braindead”)
I kick ass for the lord!
I legit laughed like five minutes first time seeing that shot. The fact that he also looks like Timothy Leary is icing on the cake.
Yeah, I gotta go with Dawn of the Dead as well.
Night of the Living Dead is kinda tied with it though. Dawn is a better made movie, and uses the zombies better.
But Night, man, it’s so raw. There’s just so much about it that became the foundation of not just zombie movies, or even horror, but film making in general.
Shit, I think Night is actually my favorite with Dawn being almost tied.
Flip a coin?
Return of the Living Dead is my favorite too, for a lot of reasons.
Really love planet terror.
