In the US, there is basically one party - the business party. It has two factions, called Democrats and Republicans, which are somewhat different but carry out variations on the same policies. By and large, I am opposed to those policies. As is most of the population.

        Not even close!

        One side are fanatical fascists, that defy the constitutional order to send random people into foreign gulags.
        The other is a buch of rule followers that lack a vision and are devoid of energy.

          They don’t lack vision, they have the same vision as their Republican counterparts. When they take money from the same corporations, bankers, and lobbyists you have to expect the same end game. The only negligible difference is Republicans will tell you exactly what they are gonna do, and do it. Dems will talk as if they want something different but will either allow Republicans to make change with zero challenge, or, like most cases, they lay the groundwork for Republican crimes
