Depends on your personal definition of child. 16 is definitely a teenager. For many people, those are distinctly different stages and do not overlap. A middle segment between child and adult. Whereas a different descriptor like minor would apply to both children and teenagers.
I don’t know. 16 is plenty old to get a part time job and go on dates.
I don’t think minors should have to pay income tax. “No taxation without representation… unless you’re 16.”
