A senior executive said that Intel is making laptops more modular, as part of a bid to make them more flexible and easy to repair. But only Framework appears to be really taking action from a consumer standpoint.

Nooo it was just a dream.
In reality it is much more profitable if every hardware vendor makes their own console-like PC. Unfortunately Intel is treading water. Wildly flinging any idea into the world and see if anything sticks. I do not think they have the money to get to the extend part. But one can dream.
