Slack, rocketchat, mattermost… WhatsApp, Threema, Signal. They got different selling-points and making an account and fiddeling with verifying clients is none of WhatsApp or Signal. I would like it very much as an organizational chat solution, but I would wan’t to onboard clueless users like my family 😬
It was and is, all the time (since day one at r/buyFromEU).
The question is: what is it an alternative too? Slack, rocketchat, mattermost… WhatsApp, Threema, Signal.
