I was taught that if a bully bullies you, you’re supposed to not fight back, and only talk to the adults who will give them a stern warning.
The adult version is going to the police/courts and reporting someone for harassement.
The politician version is just apointing someone in the “middle” of your party and the opponent party’s political views (Merrick Garland) and then don’t do much investigation because it would seem like “persecuting political opponents”, or breaks “norms and traditions”
Like motherfucker, if a bully hit me, I’ll beat his/her ass (arrest trump). If I ran a school club, I’m gonna ban them (14th amendment disqualification). If was doing group projects, I’m fucking kicking them out, or I’ll leave and just do it myself (secession).
