I don’t think I’ve even heard Christian fundamentalists complain about them. Mostly because it’s really hard to sell them as a threat or deviants in any way, but still. Very weird battle to pick.
Edit: Ok for the record I don’t assume that Christian fundamentalists and other right-wingers are tolerant of ace people, it’s more so that I’ve never seen any public figures specifically target them.
ace folks get the same abuse from heteropatriarchal christianity that everybody else does when they don’t conform to social and sexuality norms. idk how often the tirade is about ace people specifically because that would require the preacher and the congregation to know what that is, but if you’re not not making white babies for jesus they hate you.
Chastity is a kkkristian virtue because it’s supposed to be self-denial and suffering. It’s no good as a kkkristian value if you’re having a good time with it.
Christians have a very very inconsistent relationship with celibacy. Especially the recent more “ethno-national” types. They hold up crusading knights who forsake all lusts and nuns who dont look at no man so she could not be corrupted by them as icons but in the same vein, think celibacy and chastity as effeminate, selfish and weak.
I got the ‘identity for identities sake’ shit from my good friend and it sucked.

I used to assume that, surely, it’s impossible for people to have beef with ace people. But, no, after making friends with a couple of ace people, I realized they get a world of shit not just from the usual suspects, but also catching intentional and unintentional flak from queer people on top of that.
And it seems to me that a lot of ace people just awkwardly put up with the abuse because queer people simply do not like being checked on the idea that they aren’t as accepting as they think they are.
