When you really want to put in work getting up to about 2.3 is well tolerated. Any more and you are gonna lose your displacement over time. The main use for X¹ or shaft is ensure compliance with the minimum approach angle.
Anyone can do it, but once you learn the technique for working a strap-on, you’ll build so much core strength it’s insane. Highly recommended.
