Described as The Beatlesā€™ final song, ā€œNow and Thenā€ has finally been released, featuring the voice of the late John Lennon decades after he first wrote it.

Decent song. Great to hear Johnā€™s voice. I wish Paulā€™s backup vocals were louder.

You can hear Paul and or Ringo in some parts and I think the reason the vocals arenā€™t louder is because theyā€™ve lost a significant amount of their vocal range.

I heard this on the radio today. Itā€™s fine, maybe better and definitely less weird than what was pushed out 30 years ago but seriously, why?

They originally couldnā€™t fully isolate just Lennonā€™s vocals from the original recording, but technology has now advanced to where they can. Thatā€™s the why it is released now.

Itā€™s a pretty cool and special release in my opinion, no need to be a hater. Literally all of the Beatles were included on the track as each of them touched it in some way over the last 30 years: Johnā€™s now isolated vocals from his demo tape was the starting point, Georgeā€™s recorded guitar parts from before he died and obviously Ringo and Paulā€™s work too. Given Paul and Ringoā€™s ages itā€™s a beautiful send-off to some of the most famous and influential musicians to have ever lived.

These are really good points and I apologize for coming across as a hater. I think part of my thoughts were around the release in the 90s where it was incredibly hyped up with a count down clock and whatnot.

Your point of being able to use this as a send off to Paul and Ringo is especially true. Sorry to be a butt about it and thanks for the clarity!
