How do you gals feel about something like this? This hasn’t gone through clinical trials so still early stages.

I had such bad reactions to the Mirena IUD and minipill, I’ve been on the oral combo BC since then. I wish I didn’t need hormones but they help with heavy/painful periods (even skipping them), birth control, and the estrogen helps with acne. I’m not sure if I can give myself a shot 😬 I’m pretty squeamish around needles and bad with pain.

The technology uses tiny crystals to achieve both long-term effectiveness and the convenience of injections.

Looks good, but I hope there are ways of mitigating side effects or potential allergic reactions, since it looks like something that stays inside of you for a long time and some side effects can appear weeks or months after the first exposure to a given drug

Tbh it just feels like another way to administer the same drugs. I wish there was more focus on actually developing birth control that didn’t have the wealth of side effects.

I stopped taking BC a few years ago because it had such an effect on my mood but I’ve sort of resigned myself to starting up with it again.

I have anxiety around things in my body that I can’t control so the implant is off the table for me anyway and to me this just feels like an implant but worse.

I really hope it comes with like a test dose or something like that. I don’t know how it’d work, but just a way to find out you’re going to have a bad reaction without needing surgical removal.

Yes, like a skin patch or something. It’s crazy to think about because allergies can be deadly. I also had to get the Mirena taken out early so I’m wondering how much of a hassle this would be.

    Looks cool.

At first glance it looks like a development of the tech Bill Gates used to get Microchips into people during COVID.

I knew that guy was onto something.

There was a lot of fear mongering with the covid vaccine, I don’t know why people were so afraid of having free 5G WiFi everywhere you go. I’ve had a couple of boosters so I can stay connected wherever I am.

I love having free 5G WiFi everywhere! The only issue is crowds gathering around me trying to connect to it. I wish Bill Gates could’ve included password protection…
