Is it me? Is it something about the way I talk? Or is it them? Can these certain people not conceive of the idea of talking about something without being worried about it? I’m just making conversation.

As someone who just likes to talk shit, I get this.
Like do they expect you to just not talk if everything is fine? I said my soup was nice and hot, and one of these people snapped at me “well you know soup is going to be hot”. Yeah, I was expressing enjoyment, is that not allowed?
